Board News; Summer/ Autumn 2006

Stuff Welcomes all you sexy little D and Fers to another new month on Dominic and Friends (We use D and F so much you might forget what it stands for as if!)

It’s also been a very long time since the last Topic! So about time we started one so here it is!


Banners:

The sexy little things at the top of every page! Art and time donated by members to the board for all to see and make this place hotttttttttttttttter. If you want to add something to the board mix send them all to the boards chosen, who will swoon, guide and love you.

MADDY

900 pixels wide and 350 pixels high That’s the size you should be going for, make it smaller or bigger the board wont care, it’ crush or stretch your works of art, making them scream and look gross looking. You were warned my little tykes!

Like a banner so much you can’t stop drooling? Want to hire the artist for your own biddings? Then wave your adorable little mouse over the art and wham there you go the creators name. Awesome.



Dom’s Birthday

Will start a proper thread closer to the time, but it be nice if we could somehow as a board send Dom a card or something for his Birthday?





Calendar

Sometimes its lame, you start a topic and no one bothers to reply. Who’s fault is that? If you want to talk TV/music you can add release dates or air times to the calendar which shows up for everyone to SEE and be reminded! You can do it with other stuff too! TRY IT!





Lost Season 3


Woot Woot, the new season will be on us before we know it so LOST Season 3 area will be up and running shortly, if you have any spoilers or information for the third season please post it in that area.



More members

We want more members, more member’s means more posts, and more posts means a bigger community! So let’s get more members to join. If your willing to post links on journals, mention it in passing to friends who might like Dom, LOST etc (Sometimes you can force them with things too *nods* ) Or if you have ideas, want to submit buttons etc, give us your ideas and creations!.



Skins and Adverts

Both were having problems last year, ads rocking around like they owned the place and skins being so lazy it was like the board was covered in cellulite! No more! Ads can go sell there crap to some brainless clinkers, and with a Buffy back slayer in hand the skins are back in line, tight and positively glowing. Now isn’t that nice



STUFF Comps

The Comps did good! More coming along soon! If you want to make your own and donate your own prize to the winner drop me a PM and we will arrange it.




Board Upgrade

As mentioned before we are waiting on the “official” upgrade to the message board, problem is its not very detailed lol, the new functions look neat; but as to when its going live is anyone’s guess. Therefore it’s important that:




Your email address is REAL and you check it at least once in a while.

At the moment you can only get here via the D and F url… when the upgrade happens the www.dandf.org url will be offline for a few hours at best or a few months at worst, thus we need to be able to give you any temp URLS that we are given. :wave:

Also thinking of making a board member background/skin... thoughts of this would be useful. :) (Of course if you dont want your face shown to the world then it wont be used, your have to consent before your image is displayed :hee: )

Oooh, I am sooo loving the beach background!

I like it too but but but... why is the easy-to-load blue splashy background gone? My compie isn't that fast, so I like easy layouts so it won't take ages till the boards fully function. :unsure:

Edit: SORRY! My comp was being a pain in the arse and messed up all the background. When I wanted to change to the Default (which is the blue splashy one) it showed the new beach-one, and even when I wanted Ian it showed the new beach-one... Very weird, but I have the blue splashy one in place again. :Merc:

I love the new background!!! As for the member background, it sounds good to me.

well you know i don't have a problem with my face splashed accross the internet! haha!!

Yeah, sorry about the spam. We try to get rid of it as soon as possible, but they keep coming!

But everyone is busy with other things, so sometimes they just slip through our security.

In other news, this place has gotten kind of dead, and I can't help but think I was apart of it.
