Title: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Hestia - May 4, 2006 07:56 AM (GMT)
Yay, the new Pirates will be out in about two months!
Here is a very cool trailer. Please be aware that it took me about 10 minutes to load it, so be patient. But it was definitely worth the wait! (woW>

Yes!!!!!! I'm so excited. Counting the days. :dancy: I'm going to try to stand by the red carpet at the premiere. Everyone thinks I'm crazy...but sitting on my butt for 12 hours...to catch a glimpse of Mr. Depp? Definitely worth it. :Wink1:
Thanks for the trailer, Jo! :hyper:

It looks funny! Jack Sparrow cracks me up. Nice to see that its like the first one and not a sexist bag of rubbish (woW> and it looks like a laugh.

Yay, something to look out for! I hope it will be released worldwide around the same time, that way I can watch it straight after deadline-week.

Kristin, Kristin, Kristin, when is the premiere?? *would love to go to an actual movie premiere*
I'm going to be obsessed with this one, I know it. I pretty much had to have de-pirating therapy to get off the first one. :red:

The premiere is Saturday, June 24 at Disneyland again. I already bought my ticket (which has labeled me officially crazy in my family...mainly b/c my dad works at Disneyland and I could get in almost whenever...except that day...which is why I had to buy one...I think it'll totally be worth it...okay...sorry...rambling...)
But yeah...June 24th...I'm preparing myself for it. I can't wait!!!!!!!! That'd be awesome if you could go Mel. We could have a Pirates party by the red carpet together.

So I went to the premiere last Saturday. Which is why I haven't been on in a while (I've been recovering!)
I got to the parking structure at 4:20am (40 minutes before it opened). I had to wait there and a couple of other places before the actual park opened. D-land opened at 6:30 and since the red carpet was so dang long, I got a spot right up against the railing (but past Main Street, by Plaza Inn). I sat in the same place from 6:30-2:30 (with a bathroom break). At 2:30, Lee Arenberg (Pintel) and Mackenzie Crook (Ragetti) walked by on the carpet and nobody realized it until they were already gone. From then on, everybody was worried about missing anybody else so everyone pushed forward. We had to stand for the rest of the day (arrivals weren't scheduled to start until 6pm). There were lots of press...local and international. The Tonight Show interviewed people on either side of me and Access Hollywood had us shout "Lights! Camera! Pirates!" Fun stuff.
Lots of celebrities were there. Too many to name. Supposedly Josh Holloway was there too, but I didn't see him. :(
The big three--Johnny, Orlando, and Keira--were signing autographs for about 3 hours...but they mainly stayed on Main Street! Keira came by, so I got an autograph from her. But Johnny and Orli took so long that they were forced to stop (it was past 9pm, and the movie was supposed to start at that time). So they rushed them through. I got a glimpse--actually a pretty good one--of Mr. Depp (who was 4 feet away from me!) I was so focused on seeing Johnny, though, I didn't see Orlando at all. And they rushed both of them through so quickly that I didn't get pictures. Gosh dang.
Oh well. It was definitely an interesting experience. And by far the longest day I've ever had. ^_^

I  Davy Jones.
Okay maybe not in the same way as I love Jack Sparrow, but I keep seeing Dead Man's Chest over and over b/c I get excited seeing the Captain of the Flying Dutchman. :) Oh...and the Kraken is like his dog (hmmm...okay maybe not...lol). How cool is that?
Jack, Davy, and the Kraken also have the most awesome musical themes.
Uhhh...yeah. That's all for now.
