Title: How long will Lost last?

I have heard (Jantine told me, I believe) that there were rumours Lost would last for three seasons on TV, and would be followed by a film.
But just now, I read this:

Six seasons? :o
Dang, they must come up with some really intense new things to keep me hooked for six years!
Has anybody else heard anything about how many seasons we can expect?

OMG.... they shoouldn't do 6 seasons... I think it could become boring quite soon ....

I agree, six seasons is long. I mean, there's only so many things you can do to keep the story going. They're on an island. It's impossible to keep introducing new characters and eventually we'll know everything there is to know (background story wise) about the characters.
Most importantly. They're going to have to reveal certain stuff about the monster and the others and all. If you don't do it, people will lose interest. But if you do it too soon there will be nothing left for seasons five and six.
I would hate it if this show gets uhhh milked till it's dried out and there's nothing left.

DUDE I DID HEAR THEM SAY THAT IT WAS GANNA GO FOR FIVE SAESONS AND ON THE LAST EP THEY ARE GANNA MAKE IT IN TO A MOVIE!! THAT WOULD BE COOL!! BUT IF THAT HAPPENS I'M GANNA HAVE OT WAIT TO SEE WHO LIVES AND THAT I THINK WOULD BE TO HARD FOR ME I WOULD BE FREAKING OUT UNTIL IT COMES OUT AND WHEN I SEE IT I'M HOPING IT'S A GOOD ENDING TO THE SAESONS AND THEN I WOULD FEEL BETTER!!! LOL :lol:

I'm pretty sure the movie thing isn't happening. I thought I heard Damon say something about ending it around the fifth season. I'm thinking five or six.
