The Dom Project, website and Forum

After several days Cyn still hasn’t re – opened either site. Several people have reported that she has decided not to return (indefinitely) with any Dom related projects/sites, without Cyn making a public announcement it’s impossible to confirm, however I’m inclined to think also that TDP has now finished. In that respect this forum will remain open with Dom related areas. Any old members of TDP forums are free to post here and make it what you want, I understand that some of you will feel its time to move on and I wish you the best of luck. Although I'd beg you to stay if you'd let me. :)

There has also been a few members interested in starting up a Dom site similar to what Cyn used to have, pictures, clips and regular updates, and I’d have to agree it’s a fantastic idea, both her sites had so much work put into them and were a great resource to many different people including myself, it would be a shame to lose that. Anyone who is interested let me know, there is no hurry as we wont start anything until we are 100% certain that Cyn wont restart it, which could be some weeks/months.

Moderators

You are able to talk with anyone of the superb six about any issues you might have, they are also there to give you passwords (if you’re allowed to have them )W( ). Each Mod has been given a key vicinity to look after; if you have a specific problem in one area it would be best to talk with the “leader(s)” of that region of the forum.

Competitions

The forum can be changed and modelled in terms of its appearance, including the banner at the top of the page. In order to make the place more interactive we will hold “competitions” every few weeks, where every member is free to submit banners. The winner will be decided by a poll and the prize? Your work at the top of every page for all to see, we are also debating background colour change to match the banner. In order to keep things fair the banner will be changed every few week or so, allowing everyone a chance to eventually win. There will be a new topic placed in the forum information shortly where you may discuss or submit ideas about it. You’re free to submit them anonymously if you don’t want people to see who did what before the poll. Rules and guidelines will be up soon. In the meantime your free to post in this topic.

Buttons, we are also looking for a button designer, perhaps two or three designs, these will be given to external sites which will link people here, so everyone searching for Dom or other things linked to the forum will be able to see your handy work, for as long as the board exists.

Warn feature under your name

You've suddenly noticed a warning system under your name and no one else has one, eek does this mean I've been naughty? (&*"£>

Nope, the board has a security system which shows members their own warn panel. Your in the same boat as everyone else. If you are warned by myself or a mod then you get a message about it and a chance to agrue you case, however I doubt anyone here will ever need it. If its a real problem tell me here and I'll look into a way to remove it. Nobody else can see your panel in the same way you cant see anybody else's.

Smilies

Jess has a huge photobucket of smilies which she says anyone is free to dig through, there is a link to the bucket at the bottom of the board, clicking on the button will open up a new window and clicking on the name in the drop down bar will take you to her site in your current window. So if your looking for a smilie while writting a message DONT access her site through the drop down menu.

If anyone is missing a special smile or wants one from Jess's site to be added here, post requests. Dont forget to click "Show all" in the clickable smilies box to check its not already there first! (***)

Edit, the changes to the board are for examples only, to give ideas etc. In a nut shell the entire board can be altered to suit what we want. Please look out for any polls and vote, as well as give feedback if you see fit.

I'm also not sure how the clocks work in other time zones, if your time in post's etc is wrong you can edit the time settings in "My Controls" in "board settings"

The flashing PM thingybob is just a little bit irritating and cos it flashes red it kinda hurts your eyes. :(

I think its supposed to get your attention (SNake> but I can understand that the red might be a problem, would if be better if I were to try changing the colour?

The photobucket that has my smilies on also has all my other piccies on (with the exception of the slash art, which I keep seperate). Everyone is welcome to use whatever piccies they find on there.

I am so glad I found this site, I was devastated when I saw that Cyn had stopped. I talked to her myself and she did close the site and the forum for good, we know this 100%.
