With a bit of luck this round of banners would have inspired you to design some more, so you know the drill post them to MADDY. There is a slight potential change… the banners may have to be 4 times as big…
Well last weeks poll favoured the change to bigger banners. As a test I’m willing to try the bigger banners out in a week or so, that way we can all see how it looks before voting again. So if any one has any banners they want to donate for a week (full credit naturally) then please make them 800 pixels wide and 350 pixels high. :)

Board Move Around
All board areas take up huge amounts of space, and when its not be used often it’s a bit silly to have it in place. So “Random Madness” which had only a total of 6 topics! Has been dissolved, or merged into “Off topic” which has under gone a name change to “Random Stuff”
The other off topic area is for posts or topics which have only a limited shelf life. I.e you might want to post something which will only be applicable for a short time, perhaps someone’s death, or birth. Maybe a question that needs only one or two posts to answer it. Thus that area has a high turn over, as soon as the topic has been dealt with it goes to the DOMster, of course if it becomes a popular topic then it can be moved to a more suitable home. :lol:
I’m not going to ask you what you think until the next board news, as its human nature to resist change :Wink1: . If you are still unhappy next week you can have you say then. Naturally if you feel you have a good argument for things to move back right away then by all means post them up here. If you think it’s a good idea I’d like to hear your comments from that perspective too. Lost Area
It’s coming up to that time of year again! Lost is due to hit the American shores in oh about 24 days! So if you have any season two talk, spoilers, shared excitement please post in the season two area, and not one. Lost Eppy talk Come on guys spread the love of LOST :LOVE: , if you watch an eppy in your country there is nothing forcing you to post your thoughts purely in the Country thread that you are watching it in. Those topics should only feature LOST specific information to that country. Otherwise it's off topic. :fight:
I know it might sound mean, but it’s not like I ask a lot about where you post things. Please, please use the area for that episode. Start as many threads in them as you want!
Journals
There is now an area for certain members to start a journal
The new “Journal” forum located in “YOU” has a password, mainly for your sake and safely. I.e. no random guests who might be spying on you can read about you, naturally they can anyway on My Space and Live journal, but this just adds a layer of security.
The password is in the The Hidey Hole which is available to anyone with 100 posts and above. So just go there to get hold of the password for “Journal”, if you have less than a 100 posts or have forgotten the password for The Hidey Hole and want access to your own Journal then please PM a mod and we will see what we can do.
Phew that was long winded. Some more finer details are in the “Journal” area, if you decide to investigate. Recruitment More members are always nice I think, it allows for more traffic and therefore more things to talk about. If you have any ideas of how to either attract more people here or ways to advertise the board, please feel free to post them here so we can discuss them or drop me a PM with any ideas you might have. If you need D and F banners or buttons, there are a few in stock (as well as all the banners we have had the last few months use any) alternately if anyone is feeling creative feel free to post buttons in here. The ones we have are here… there are more and if I get the creator wrong! Tell me and I’ll fix it right away.

Spamming code
New code in place to try and stop spamming, I didn’t think it was too much of a problem, but apparently several of you do, so the code has been installed under request. Which should go somewhere to allowing; “your posts should be constructive and add to the conversation” granted it’s a bit hard to define what’s “constructive” but I gather a “lol” isn’t worthy of a response or a increase in post count.
Sorry to be mean, but I can’t see this new code being too much of an issue. The Theme Zone … …Has a new Theme! So make sure you have a look and feel free to contribute.
Upgrade news
As per normal lots of guess work and rumours, but I am unable to confirm anything at this time. The upgrade should allow for some more modifications to the board, and perhaps some of the current ones will no longer be viable. Still have to wait and see. As per normal now would be a good time to gather anything you or others have posted that you would like to keep hold of just in case we lose some of the information during the change over.
View New Posts Since Your Last Visit. How? Another request, I too agree with the difficulty of being able to see all new posts since you last came to the board, although the forum markers are useful, they only show the top topic with the new post so you could always miss some posts if they are below the top topic.
Soooo although I wasn’t able to find in a good code to allow you a list of topics with new posts, I can give you a list of recently posted in threads (24 hours) all topics you have yet to look in since the new post, has the blue forum marker… so where is it??
There is a button right at the bottom next to “Today’s Top Posters” “Members lists” etc, but there is now also one next to the “Portal” link at the top of the page. Simply click to get them.
ALSO if you look at the top and near "My Controls" etc, you see a button that says "VIEW NEW POSTS" :lol: that should help you. :devilgriner:
