Could it be a map? The Island, the water around them? Is it something deeper than that. Or is it just an icon?

Yes, the numbers are important, (VERY important) but I haven't heard about any significance to the Oceanic logo....yet.

Yeah but look at it on a wider scale... the dots could be small islands around them... the blue is the sea, then its the beach, the next ring is the forest after that something I havent worked out yet... finally the center is the heart of the island...

Also the number of layers and dots. 5 and and 18...so close to 4 and 16.. I cant say I understand the numbers fully as I havent see all of season one... but do I have an idea, or am I so far off your falling off your chair laughing?

Ahh yes, keep a close eye on ALL the numbers that pop up on the show.

They most likely are one of the 6 infamous numbers :)

The numbers...could they be referring to the episode numbers? We have seen the first 5 number episodes maybe something has happened in each one… that links the whole puzzle together… any ideas?

i saw those numbers in some of the eps.. they weren't the obvious ways of being seen.. like you read it off a book or something.. but in some scenes they are right there and then aren't

i can't really explain well because i don't know who's seen all of season one and who hasn't... yeah
