Subj: Season Two Secrets From Globe TV Insider
By: Withay
« on: July 15, 2005, 12:25:56 AM »
OK, I admit I read "trashy weekly mags" blushing..... But this one had some Lost info and this mag is usually right on their TV previews. It's from the July 18th, 2005 Globe TV Insider. Some of it is only confirmation of what we have already guessed but here goes...
1) Rose was right and Bernard is alive.
2) Sawyer, Jin and Michael survive and find the rear section of the plane on another part of the island.
3) Bernard is not the only rear section survivor; Michelle Rodriguez's character is also found.
4) The "pirates" were the "Others". ( VERY old news!)
5) One of the "Others" is Alex, Danielle's daughter.
6) The Others needed Walt and his mysterious powers in order to unlock the secrets of the Hatch.
7) The purpose of the Hatch will be unveiled in the first episode and it will affect Locke who will have to struggle with the use of his legs.

At least it doesn't sound like we will have to wait too long for the action to start!

*Struts in with a huge sack of spoilers desperate to get free*

Bare in mind that I cant be 100% sure whats in my sack is tottaly true, so pinch of salt might be handy... but everything listed has been posted in at least two places. Anything with Careful in the header, read it with a sus eye.

11/10 Ep 9 - Kate's original crime that started her life on the run is revealed. Meanwhile, the survivors lay one of their own to rest, Kate sleeplessly watches over a feverish Sawyer, and Mr. Eko has a surprise for Locke regarding the hatch. Source: ABC

*Careful*

Ep 10 "Merged"
* Scheduled air date: December 14, 2005
This episode has some big questions answered. It shows flashbacks of the island. Yes, the island and tells you how the hatch came to be, what will happen if the 'numbers' aren't typed into the computer, and how the 'others' came on the island.

Episode 11: The Hunting Party
Airdate: December? 2005

11/10 - This episode features two guest stars, a wealthy middle aged Italian man and a Italian woman who may possibly recur

Maggie Grace is not expected to return to Lost island in the future. [There are no other deaths in the works.] We'll be seeing Locke soon in another flashback, this time in his wheelchair. Brittany Perrineau, who plays Mary Jo, the woman who pulled out Hurley's lottery numbers, and also Sawyer's one-night stand, will be back for a third episode very soon. Harold explains: "I think the idea was that Sawyer was a con man, and he might want to con the Lotto girl. And she might not be a one-night stand." Source: Kristin on E!Online

Read with a pinch of Salt :Wink1:

Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse reveal: It's always possible [Shannon] could pop up in someone's backstory. But she is definitely dead. When a character dies on the island, they stay dead. In the same moment that we decided Shannon would die, [we also decided that] Ana-Lucia would be responsible for that death. It would be the first time one castaway was responsible for killing another, and it would give so much inherent conflict and trauma [heading to] the merge. We're walking a very tenuous tightrope with her, but we feel that over the course of the next two episodes the audience will hopefully get a better understanding for that character and what she's been through. [Shannon] was shot. Walt's disappearance and, ultimately, Michael's efforts to reunite with him were part of a grander plan. As we move into the middle run of episodes, we're definitely emphasizing the Jack-Kate-Sawyer romantic triangle. The level of sexual tension between those three characters is definitely being ramped up. As the respective leaders of their respective units, Ana-Lucia and Jack have a great deal in common with each other, and that's definitely something we're going to be exploring. But [the fact that] Ana-Lucia inadvertently murdered one of the members of the tribe doesn't exactly [lend itself] to candlelight dinners and walks on the beach. She is a woman; she will have romantic entanglements. But I think the one that will begin to emerge over the season will be the one that you least expect. We're definitely going to be paying attention to [the Charlie and Claire] relationship, but it's not going to turn in ways the audience expects. I think that [the] question [as to what the numbers mean] will never, ever be answered. I couldn't possibly imagine [how we would answer that question]. We will see more ramifications of the numbers and more usage of the numbers, but it boggles my mind when people ask me, "What do the numbers mean?" You'll learn more about [why Ethan abducted Claire] this season. [We still plan on revealing why the plane crashed this season.] In the next string of episodes, one of the really compelling backstory elements is what happened to Jack's marriage. We think Julie Bowen is amazing and she and Matthew Fox are so great in scenes together, and I think the audience is really curious as to what went wrong there. And you should pay attention to Mr. Eko's stick. That stick is an important ongoing clue. [We will learn more about the monster this season.] Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

According to TV guide, an upcoming episode featuring Mr. Eko is to be titled "The 23rd Psalm" ^_^

One of the characters, either one of the regulars or new ones are said to be heading towards a gay storyline....

Melagomaniac - November 28, 2005 03:01 AM (GMT)
February 1st is my birthday. Hurrah, I'll get a new episode as a present!

Flashbacks of the island, eh? That should be interesting.. :thinky:

i_heart_Dom - November 28, 2005 02:14 PM (GMT)
thanks Rich! those are some REALLY good spoilers. :hyper:

Lofty - November 28, 2005 02:59 PM (GMT)
noooo why did I read those spoilers? :( I should have kept away but the thread was just lurking there begging to be clicked.

I do wonder who the gay person(s) might be. Thinks Charlie having so man on man action. Yup that's a nice thing :drool2: :drool2: . *swoon* Or it might be one of the new girls or Dr Eko. Basically anyone I suppose. Darn it.

I'm not likeing the idea of a magic stick, sounds like a Harry Potter plot :NahNah:

Melagomaniac - March 23, 2006 11:12 PM (GMT)
Not sure if this is a real spoiler, but I'm betting that Henry is one of the Others. I never trusted him.

onlyonekingDom - March 30, 2006 06:08 PM (GMT)
pretty good Mel...I was trying to believe there was good in him

Melagomaniac - March 31, 2006 10:57 PM (GMT)
I knew not to trust him. It was all manipulation, him trying to get Jack and Locke and co. to trust him. I'm on top of things this season. ^_^
