Title: The Crying Corner
Description: come in and blub away
Hestia - July 23, 2005 03:30 PM (GMT)
Sometimes it's really good to spend fifteen minutes crying about everything or nothing, and when you need a place to shout during such a moment, here it is.
I'm in such an emotional state lately, that I can't really watch a movie or read a book without bursting out in tears. I've decided to just let it go, and laugh about it afterwards. After all, I have heard sometime that crying is good for your skin, and laughing is good for the muscles in your face. (Hereby I call this thread the facial gymnastics-area)
So, today it was about Harry and the Half Blood Prince, last weekend I cried about a LOST-episode, I'm curious to find out what I'll be crying about next. Any tips on crying-material?

Just hearing parts of the soundtrack makes me grab the Kleenex... I'm such a dweep.

So am I, hun..., so am I!

Really HP made you cry? I felt surprisingly uplifted, full of friendship bonds and contemplative thought, it’s the best book I have read in a long time.
This will sound stupid, maybe some of the other guys can back me up??? (Please I don’t want to be a freak :red: !) I get all funny like once a month or so, like girls get their periods, just feel a bit different to normal. Thankfully none of the pain, but certainly the mood swings.
Guys  ? Help!

that made me giggle, just a little bit. Only because I was in SO much pain yesterday. And there was to Panadol, and I had to suffer. I was crying, only because it felt like I was about to die. poop

Rich has unstable hormones... I think men can have that too, although for women it's more obvious because we have a monthly cycle (why monthly, by the way... I'd much prefer yearly, just like panda's!)
I hardly ever feel the need to cry when I'm having my period, I'm just angry and moody mostly. I only cry because of emotional distress.

Once a month I feel so bitchy... I'm glad I'm not a girl, because I guess if I had my period I'd be in such a bad mood that probably some people would get killed.....

So now you can imagine how much anger we have to oppress, and how much energy that takes. If only every men would understand that and would also stop b*tchin' about us being the weaker sex. It's hard being a girl, you know! It nearly makes me cry ;)

I always amaze myself how I'm so NOT a bitch during my period. People all around me should be thankfull for that. About the crying : dear god don't get me started.
Armagedon makes me cry and that end of the world movie wiht Elijah in it.
I can't stay long, for I have to finish reading HP. I just got back from visiting my parents. I read quite a lot there until I reached a certain chapter and I knew I had to stop. I felt tears coming already.
*scratches head*
how on earth can crying be good for your skin. I always look completely messed up after a good cry.
Hestia - July 24, 2005 07:49 PM (GMT)
Yeah, puffed up and red and not very attractive... but it cleans your tear ducts and I think your pores are widened so all kinds of excessive fluids can leave your skin.
At least, that is what I'm telling myself... But I have read that crying is good for your mind ánd body.

so can we like rant and rave on about anything here? like "get it off your chest" place?
oh and crying does help. believe me! i have done it many a time and it makes you feel SO much better... *remembers back to those times i desperately needed help* awh.. so sad.. and the crying helped...
maddy - July 28, 2005 07:02 AM (GMT)
well last night at dinner i was telling my family about my day and how in Biology we were testing our blood pressure's and things.. then mum said that you shouldn't test your arm more then 3 times.. and i did.. and then she said that it will go black and blue from blood loss and poisoning from lack of blood because the cappillaries might have burst *breath* and i started worring and i couldn't hold it in and i started crying.. :'(
i think i was depressed a bit that afternoon.. i was tired and fed up with things and my assignments are just too hard and there were parent teacher interviews and gosh

At the moment, I can cry about the quietness on the boards. Nothing's happening! Where is everybody?
Hello-o-o-o-o
Tigerlily - July 31, 2005 05:04 PM (GMT)
Trust me. There's other places where it's slower than here. I wonder if you can keep alive a board where only two people post?
I wanted to watch finding neverland so I could cry but it was rented out. I guess I'll have to watch it some other time. BLEH.
Hestia - July 31, 2005 05:36 PM (GMT)
I cried because of Lost... there's just one character who always makes me cry, and the last couple of episodes (s)he just has to walk past and I'm in tears already. I wonder if I can ever watch her/him in other series or movies without bursting out in tears.
ps: I tried to be vague about the character. It might spoiler those who haven't seen Lost yet.
maddy - August 1, 2005 06:28 AM (GMT)
yeah i get kinda sad when there's no one on the board.. but i suppose thats because me and rosie are the only Aussies here and have a different time zone an all... meh
Rosie - August 1, 2005 10:08 AM (GMT)
Im sad right now... IM GETTING A SORE THROAT. I havent cried about it yet, I might cry tomorrow morning. I cried yesterday, my sister was being such a b*tch. She always is to me. She goes out all weekend and comes home grumpy and starts swearing at me, being really mean. :(
