Nooo Dont do that! <lol> DH is great when you dont see the twist coming, we are on about epsiode 5 (Its on tonight <--> too) and its keeps getting better, the charators are fantastic. I really like Bree, she is classic. Who is your favorite?
Certainly one of the best TV shows in years. (Cant say that about Lost yet, as we still have to wait for it! )
Rosie - February 17, 2005 10:16 AM (GMT)
Bree is classic! Last Mondays episode was the one whens shes like "Rex cries after he ejaculates"!!! I laughed SO much <lol> I like Lynette also. I don't think I really can pick a fave just yet but after the next few eps I might have on. :)

In England last night it got really good and blooming scary in parts. I think we are on episode 8 now....I cant say anything...its fab! }C/{ The jokes were on top form, better than normal and the dynamics of the individuals were sparking against each other so much. Its no wonder DH won awards....as for the ending last night, well the last 10 mins really.... (wOw) Should cover it.
Glitter - February 26, 2005 12:06 AM (GMT)
You're right, it was a great episode! It's starting to get darker now with even more twists and turns than previously! I found out the other day that there are 23 episodes in this season! }C/{ Loads more good stuff to come then!! <-->
Hestia - March 1, 2005 06:56 PM (GMT)
Wooh! I'm finally gonna watch the first episode tonight! I missed more than 30 mins of it when I came across DH on Belgian TV, but I can make up tonight. Dutch TV is gonna show episode 1 and 2 tonight <-->

I watched the first to ep's yesterday. This show is hilarious. The characters are so messed up. I had not expected anything like this. And I mean........a dead woman is telling the story. Brilliant. And of course I totally love it that there's a secret. What's the "plumber" up to.
At this point Susan is my favourite. Weeee, she sets fire to a house cuz she thinks the blond bimbo's doing "her" guy.
Rosie - March 2, 2005 10:12 AM (GMT)
I watched the ep where Zach decorates Bree's house when she cancels the christmas dinner. I feel so sorry for him, but now I think he's evill (Winker)

It's great isn't it and the characters get more messed up as it goes on!! :D We are up to episode 9 in the UK now and we still haven't found out what Mike the plumber is up to, although we have had a few "clues", but not enough to give anything away though! (Rolly) I agree, Susan's great but she is so unlucky, if anything embarrassing is going to happen it always seems to happen to her!!
Knuxs - March 3, 2005 03:00 PM (GMT)
Last night was a all time high! DH had me laughing about like a mad man <craze> Susan and Edie were just <>(O/
And the mysteries all started to be found out by other people, but we're not totally there just yet (Winker) , and so many shock twists! It was funny and shocking all at once <>(O/ }{}{
Anyone yet to see it is going to enjoy! It was one of the best so far

What episode are you up to Dutch tv? I don't think we have seen Mike breaking into Susan's house in the UK yet. If so I must have missed it!! (Rolly)
Here is a quiz to find out what housewife you are! I'm Susan apparently, which is probably about right, although I'm not as accident prone as she is! (Rolly)
Mrs. Took - March 7, 2005 04:54 PM (GMT)
In Holland we have just started..so tomorrow they'll broadcast the 3rd episode...but Belgium is a bit further and I couldn't wait until it came on the Dutch television...so I started watching it on the Belgian Television...^___^
But I really have to start watching the Dutch shows because the Belgian Desperate Housewives is at the same time as the Dutch broadcasting of LOST ;) and I won't miss LOST not even for DH ;)
I'm Gabrielle...I already guessed that ^___^ I'm just as lazy as she ;)

DH back on mondayyyy! YAY!! OMg!!! NOOOOO I told work Id work that night 4-9. NOO :(
Tigerlily - April 13, 2005 08:56 AM (GMT)
Holy Moe. Desparate Housewives is getting pretty darn complicated.
Right now: there's the woman who shot herself.
Apparently because something happened to her baby????
The plumber is upto something. He's looking for somebody?? A woman who is gone??
Gabrielle's mother in law is in a coma
And yesterday: somebody got killed.
Jeez, interesting neighborhood they live in.
Susan is sooooo my fave character. I laughed so loud when she fell throught the ceiling and got stuck. #haha# #haha#
I took the second quiz (couldn't see the first one)
I'm Susan and darn proud of it. (woW>
Knuxs - April 13, 2005 05:52 PM (GMT)
It’s really good! We are quite a bit ahead of you I think (Hmmmm) , Still with the Plumber mystery and Mary Alice. You get some of the funniest lines in the next few episodes, but also some out of plot twists that really don’t belong and just feel like they were forced in for a storyline. :(
UK talk: SPOILERS for anyone not in the UK or America (IF YOU WANT TO AVOID PRESS SPACE BAR TO GO TO NEXT POST)
Its looking like Mary Alice and the Plumber’s hunt for this women Is linked together, although we still don’t know much about the baby….
Tonight a new gardener replaces Jon, but get this, he claims to be Gay and wants Gabriela to convert him, so it looks like he is just after some hot housewife, but then we see him and Bree’s son Andrew getting it on in the swimming pool!
Knuxs - April 14, 2005 10:33 PM (GMT)
Another spolier!
If you want to view it highlight the white after the word;
SPOILER: The Desperate Housewives will soon be gaining a new addition to their social circle, it has been confirmed.
Alfre Woodard, star of The Practice, will play a protective mother who moves to Wisteria Lane in the final episode of this season.
According to sources, her character is the head of a "deeply religious family" who have moved because their teenage son has made "a horrible mistake."
Woodard will become a series regular in the second season.
So looks like more storylines for next season. (Hmmmm)
Rosie - April 15, 2005 07:33 AM (GMT)

Did I mention before that I'm a major Desperate Housewives' fan? And I'm even incorporating it into my Bachelor thesis: woohoo!
I was watching it on the Belgian tv channel, but they suddenly stopped showing episodes, so now I'm just waiting until the Dutch channel gets past the eleventh episode... Just a couple more weeks!
BTW, any chance on more almost-nekkid Mike?
Knuxs - April 20, 2005 10:38 PM (GMT)
It was OK tonight, again it seems more like a soap and had chucks forced in to make a story which is a little disappointing. :( Its still good and I'll be watching every week, it just didnt rate as high as the other weeks and some of the themes are just being repeated.
No nakid Mike sorry....well you should see some chest in a few eppys (if your only on ep 11) (Winker) assuming your into that #haha#
Your Bachelor thesis is based on TV right, it sounds so cool, wish I was doing something like that, what is it your doing exactly?
Hestia - April 21, 2005 07:10 AM (GMT)
I'm researching the representation of television in tvdrama. I have looked into studies about the representation of television in magazines, and I'm trying to find out if televisiondrama is presenting television as a family-household-appliance as well. Well, concerning Desperate Housewives, TV is more like an item that only get special attention when it can enhance the story. Simple televisionwatching is not portrayed, so I can kinda reject the hypthesis that TV is represented as being part of the family. TV is just a handy machine that can show the people what's going on in the world outside.
Does that make sense? There is more to it than just this, but I'm having a ball just taping series and analysing them on the representation of television. I've done quite a few shocking interpretations, like televisionnews that's being criticised in Desperate Housewives. That are the things I don't really notice when I'm just watching a televisionseries.
Rosie - May 7, 2005 02:02 AM (GMT)
BAHAHAH Bree accidently shot georges foot! that was SO funny.
Knuxs - May 7, 2005 12:18 PM (GMT)
That was one of the most bizzare and out of place Story sections of the entire series (to date) it made no sense since when has Bree had a addiction to guns??? :thinky: I’m not sure if you have had the....

Apparntly Bree mentioned to George that she was a member of the NRA, but we never saw this (at least i didn't) so yeah, that was a bit odd.
