Title: Day One
Description: The first thoughts on your book

Knuxs - July 15, 2005 11:50 PM (GMT)
So now you finally have it what do you think????? :hyper:

As soon as you read the first chapter start a new topic for it.

Well I have mine at last, the que was huge and it was a fun night laughing at rubbish and the stupid talking guy, yawn he was so boring reading off a script. <>Z

The back cover of the kids one is so amazing, I love the green, the front cover is OK, but I've seen better.... Its 605 pages I think and is just a little bigger than HPGOF (I think!!!)

To late to read any now, so off to bed, but I will start tomorrow I expect. :hyper:

OMG, OMG, OMG, It's really happening. The postman is on his way here with my book like RIGHT NOW. I hope he gets here soon.

It's here!!!!!!!!!!!!

Logging off my sweets. I have a book to read.

Hestia - July 16, 2005 07:31 AM (GMT)
Heehee, I went to the store last night, got my book, went home and read the first chapter. Will start a new thread about that NOW!

First thoughts on the book: cover is better than I had imagined, and the text on the back is amazing! I had no idea why Harry would be on Privet Drive for a short while, so this comes as a big surprise.

My copy just arrived today. Read the thing in under 6 hours. Does this mean I'm a bad person for doing nothing else this afternoon? #haha#

Knuxs - July 17, 2005 01:48 AM (GMT)
YES Harry Potter must be read slooooowwww. There is no way in that huge brain of your's you could have taken in all 604 pages of detail!

Hestia - July 17, 2005 08:46 AM (GMT)
Wahahaha, go Pat! You're a greedy one, aren't you? I have forbidden myself to read the book in one go, I want to spread the goodness over more than one day.

On day one I read 7 chapters. More than enough... If I go on at this speed, I'll have finished the book in 4 days.

fubar231 - July 17, 2005 11:35 AM (GMT)
What can I say? I'm a fast reader.

Plus, if I'm really into a book, I hate to put it down for anything.

Even eating. #haha#

maddy - July 18, 2005 08:35 AM (GMT)
my english teacher is haveing withdrawls or something because no one at school has finished the book yet!! HAHA and he needs someone to talk about it with..

:die:

ha,ha, poor guy.

I'm reading it slowly. I don't want it to end too quickly.

I'm glad I'm not the only one like that. I've got to wait for the book though, my hubby claimed it first (well, he was the one who went and queued up at midnight for it). I've managed to read the first 4 or 5 chapters when he put the book down for a while, but the evil man has taken it to work with him (Grrr!) Hopefully I'll get it tonight, and be able to read it all by about Wednesday or Thursday (I read Order of the Phoenix over the weekend, while I was waiting)

Tigerlily - July 18, 2005 09:08 AM (GMT)
what were you waiting for when you read ootp? (just curious)

Meriagrin Brandytook - July 18, 2005 02:28 PM (GMT)
I was waiting for my hubby to hurry up and read 'The Half-blood Prince'
