I'm so looking forward to it! Did you see the playlist yet?
Or maybe you don't want to know yet? I've seen it, and most of my favorite songs are on it! I'd post it here, but some people don't want to spoil the surprise (Rolly)
Lofty - June 15, 2005 04:21 PM (GMT)
The pictures look amazing, I'd love to see U2 live as well. Just like Live 8. Maybe in a few years.
earendil - June 15, 2005 04:53 PM (GMT)
Yeah, Live 8! I'd love to go there! That must an amazing event!
I hope the'll show it on tv here, I have to see that!
Lofty - June 15, 2005 05:03 PM (GMT)
Yeah but the problem with Live 8 is that you can only go if you WIN tickets, so if there was a big group of you your be up the crack without a paddle. :( and no Spice girls :( #haha# there were good in their day.
Tigerlily - June 15, 2005 05:18 PM (GMT)
Woot!!!! Am going to U2 2 #haha#
Saturday in Amsterdam. Is that like juli 16th or 17th???
Oh and does any of you know who's gonna be how do you say this: side act, extra act.............whatever.
earendil - June 15, 2005 07:21 PM (GMT)
On the 15th it's going to be Snow Patrol!
And I know that the Killers are suportact for the 13th, but I'm not sure who's playing on the 16th. I think Snow patrol aswell....

I joined in a contest yesterday, I can win 6 tickets for the Paris-concert! I so hope I'm gonna win!
To the Dutchies here, just send a text-message to 1007 that says U2. That's all you have to do to win the Paris trip! (woW>
Tigerlily - July 8, 2005 09:47 AM (GMT)
OMG there's like a teeny tiny possibility, about this big - ,that my ticket to the U2 concert is a field ticket. I'm not getting my hopes up. It's just that my friends got so many tickets that I don't know which one I'm gonna get. And the friend I just hooked up with has a field ticket so the possibility of me getting one of the field tickets has just become an inch bigger. Again, am not getting my hopes up. Sort of feels like I don't deserve it anyway.
i_heart_Dom - July 8, 2005 06:16 PM (GMT)
is a field ticket close to the stage?
Tigerlily - July 8, 2005 07:22 PM (GMT)
yeah it is. If you have field tickets and you get there really early you can be right by the stage.
earendil - July 9, 2005 02:36 PM (GMT)
That depends on the kind of field tickets you have, the most expencive once are close to the stage but the other field tickets are behind the gates, wich is pretty far!
I hope you have the good field tickets Miranda! Do you know anything yet? Are you going to take your photocamera? You should take your mobilephone by the way, I've heard U2 is gonna do something with that!
Only 6 more days for me! (woW>
Tigerlily - July 14, 2005 04:23 PM (GMT)
Got seats.
Don't really mind though. It's actually a lot better. You don't have to stand in line early and you can get up and walk around before the concert. If you have standing places you might lose your good spot. And when you're somewhere in the back you don't see them AT ALL. So I'm content. I wonder who's gonna be sitting next to me. Keep your fingers crossed that it's not my ex manager. I really don't feel like spending a whole evening with this dude.
The person I'm going with does have field tickets. So I have to leave really early saturday. That's NO GOOD. Especially since it's also Harry Potter day. And I pre-ordered. It's coming by mail. Oh dear.....
Hestia - July 14, 2005 05:46 PM (GMT)
Two of my colleagues went to U2 last night, and they said there was some sort of text-message screen. You could say hello to your friends by sending a text, or you could get your name on the support list for Africa.
Miranda, I hope you have lots of fun, and send Bono my kisses
Tigerlily - July 14, 2005 06:24 PM (GMT)
I'll tell Bono you said hi.
Can't bring my camera. It's too advanced. Woowy, I own something advanced. WAY COOL. And way bleh, because I can't take pictures now.
EEEEE, I know it's gonna be fun.
Hestia - July 14, 2005 06:41 PM (GMT)
Thank you! And please, please please have lots of fun!
earendil - July 15, 2005 08:54 AM (GMT)
I'm leaving in a few hours! (woW>
I can't believe the concert TONIGHT!
I am taking my camera so i'll take photo's, but I don't think they'll be any good because I'm far from the stage.
I can't wait any more!
Miranda, if I don't talk to you anymore, HAVE FUN! I''ll let you know about the camera okay?
earendil - July 17, 2005 11:48 AM (GMT)
OMG! This was the best show I have ever seen!
It was just brilliant! They played all of my favorite songs and the way he sang 'Sometimes you can't make it on your own' Wow, it really made me cry!
And they played Bullet the blue sky, my all time favorite song, so beautifull!
We were sitting pretty high so my photo's all suck <lol> But for me it's nice to remember tough.
The first support act wasn't that good, the Music. But Snow Patrol was great! They really rock, Amazing!
And the way Bono talked about the world today, with all the torrorists and murders.... It was really..... wow! And he even talked about Pim Fortuyn and Theo van Gogh. And about the Human rights and how we shoul all stick together, no matter what your believes are. I really needed that!
It was just brilliant! I'm still speechless and I wish I could go again!
When they came on stage I could not believe that it was accualy them on stage, finally after all these years I saw them live! just a dream come treu.......
Well, here are some photo's I took, not very good I know but still.....
Before the show, people are coming in,

Adam Clayton,

Bono and Larry on one side, the Edge on the other,

Bono on the screen,

The Edge on the other screen (this one was made out of a million lights)

This is how I saw the show,

Bono again,
Tigerlily - July 17, 2005 02:55 PM (GMT)
I had a brilliant time at the concert yesterday.
It was awesome!!!!!!!!!! I'm SO glad I got a ticket after all.
Will write report later.
Hey, Heidi. You were a lot closer to the stage then I was. I was on the other side. But good view anyhow.
earendil - July 17, 2005 02:58 PM (GMT)
Did you have a screen aswell on the other side? I was wondering about that (Rolly)
I just watched 'Go home, live at Slane castle' again...... (woW>
Tigerlily - July 17, 2005 03:03 PM (GMT)
I was on the other side of your side (does that make sense)

They played Miss Sarajevo on the 16th!
They almost never play that song! You are so lucky, Miranda!
But the playlist from the 15th is not complete, they also played Amazing Grace (so beautifull)
Tigerlily - July 17, 2005 07:02 PM (GMT)
did you notice all the "this song is dedicated to"
he decidated miracle drug to all doctors
he dedicatede one of the songs to Pim Fortuijn, Theo van Gogh and London
And one to Herman Brood.
And the whole CoXisT bit.
Thanks for the playlist!!!!!!!
When they were playing I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For the whole audience kept singing that line in the end. It went on and on. The band stoped playing and we were still singing it. That was brilliant.
One big dude who wasn't wearing a shirt climbed on stage and lifed Bono. Ha, ha. (that was during beautiful day).
earendil - July 18, 2005 09:04 AM (GMT)
On friday the whole crowd was singing 'Still haven't found' aswell, that was beautifull! *kippevel*!
And before 'One' started Bono took al little boy on the stage, so sweet!
I loved the dedications aswell..... "This song is for all the doctors and nurses, who keep us alive for the future." Something like that, brilliant!
And the way Bono talked about Holland being a strong country, how we will survive if there would be an attack on Holland.....
And now we probably will have to wait another three years :( I so hope there will be a dvd from the european tour!
