Board News week 16, 5th to the 11th of June


Avatars:

Was 85 by 85, now 90 by 90. (woW> They dont effect the board loading as much as I thought and very few people use the board as the hosting upload so yeah go bigger, bigger is better. #haha#


Banners:
The New Banners are in place and the 8th placed banner will change every week, thus everyone who entered into the comp will grab a slice of the glory, but not as much as the top 7 banners which will go unchanged every week.

I would say send the next lot to Mandy, but still she is unable to fulfil the job, if you’d like to have a go then read the final vacancy below. Meanwhile until a member has been announced please send them to yours truly.


Board SATS:
More S(T :Wink1: )ATS up later this week.

Board Width:
At the moment on some monitors there is very slight board inconsistencies depending on the size of your computer monitor, over the next few days I will be trying to fix that, so it’s vital that if you see a problem with the new display that you post about it. I can’t fix what I can see, in that sense you are my eyes.


LOST:
In the US over and gone until later this year. Same rules apply. It’s a drag and its annoying, but some countries will continue to lag behind others, its going to take until April 2006 before everyone can post SEASON ONE talk about the general board. Then we will have the same deal with season Two.

Passwords:
Its highly likely that ALL members will have at least one password for a given area, try to keep them secure if you forget please feel free to PM a mod or myself.

The Hidey Hole is for all members with at least 100 posts, if you think you haven’t been sent the board congratulations with the password then please do ask for it, its your entitlement.

Portal:
Top right on the bar with all the other Arcade, Members, Calendar etc, is a button called Portal, if you haven’t already done it before, you might want to give it a little investigation. :Wink1:


Skins:
Next week I'll be searching/making some new skins, if you have a color choice for one that you think we are missing please post about it here!

Vacancies:

Below is a list of needed personal, for either D and F or external projects. If your interested PM me. Please bare in mind that some of the applications will have to strip off and sing a merry dance. Nah only joshing, but some of the jobs are only going to be pulled off by personal experience, so if you don’t have a clue and the job requires something you don’t have please don’t volunteer, similarly please only submit applications if you will be able to do the job.

*Temporary Dominic and Friends Co – ordinator. It would seem that Mandy is too busy with here new practice to adequately fulfil her role as Banner Collector and world events poster. So I’m looking for a temp, which could evolve into a permanent position at a later date, if wanted. Jobs included:
- Receiving Banners from D and F members over a set period, then hosting them into a account, hence someone with photobucket etc will be needed.
- Setting up the banner poll when collection reaches high enough members.
- Checking and adding events to the D and F calendar.

No experience is needed, just someone who is eager and positive.

Estimated workload a week 1 - 2 hours

As you can see a peaceful week, the only other thing to mention is the fact that the code we tested last week can not be used successfully on this board, to many bugs.

Objective Interpretation (Facts)


May 29th (Sunday) with 212 posts was the best day this week. The worst day was June 4th (Saturday) with 91 posts. A difference of 121 posts with the average posts count per day reaching 126 (16 down from last week.)

Sunday was the best and Saturday the worst, only Tuesday and Saturday fell below 100 posts a day, which automatically means a busy D and F week with a total of 879.


This is a 12% decrease on lasts week’s postings, placing this week in 3rd place out of 10 weeks of chart data. With this week 116 posts below the top weeks posting.


Subjective Interpretation (My view only)

Sorry this is so late updating, I guess I kinda forgot. It was another busy week of posting fun. Summer hols = lots more free time, if I recall correctly it means lots of time and little to do, Shock value after all that’s 35 hours a week extra you have to yourself :hee: . But after a bit there is plenty to do and I expect the posting to decrease over the holiday.
