I was thinking about the movie 10 things I hate about you. Changed that to 10 things I like about you. If you want to name ten things you like about Dom, that's fine byme. But what I would like to know is the thing (could be anything) you like most about Dom.

Something he does/did or stands for. Something he said. Maybe something you once saw him wear. Whatever. Use your imagination (don't think that will be a problem :devil2:)

I was first drawn to him when I was looking through cast piccies of LOTR (when I first got into the movies) and he was lurking about in them lol. He looked kinda mysterious in a way (the first pic I seen of him was him looking away from the camera with his hand to his mouth btw), and that always makes me interested in someone so I did my research. I then fell in love with his sense of humour, and to this day that's my fave thing about him :D

Dominic Monaghan obsession :thinky: …hmmm I’ll have to think all the way back to…..lol last year. Basically there is this guy at my uni who looks like Dom (honest he does!) he is a right laugh, but that alone has nothing to do with why I like the his counterpart. A friend on another message board, who is here as “LegolasG” advised me to watch LOTR, it wasn’t just his urging as I borrowed it off a friend last summer, but we talked a little and he briefly touched on Dom…a quick google and boom my first picture of Dom appeared, it was the one where he is with Billy and they are looking at a model airplane (in New Zealand I think) Dom is wearing a grey bennie hat. The likeness with the guy from uni was uncanny and it warranted more investigation (It was the hair #haha# , hobbit hair makes a huge different to what a person looks like in real life) pretty soon I had a mission, which I wont go into here, but the basics meant I had to look in detail at Dom’s personality and life attitudes. That was it, after the first interview transcript, I was in awe and he became an almost instant role model over night, some of the LOTRs actors are hypocritical like many people in Hollywood, but Dom’s attitudes seemed and still do appear to be pure and from the heart. I guess that’s what I like most about Dom, he has this inspirational presence in everything I do, granted it’s not a case of “What would Dom do?” but his views are significant and there is only one that I disagree with strongly, there aren’t many people I can say that about.

He doesn’t hold much influence in the grand scheme of social change, if he had more fame and held a belief it would be more roguishly picked up on by the public, his views are strong but not represented well at all. The people on this board, I’d like to think, share some of the values that I do and in turn are more like Dom then they’d care to admit. >W<

On to all of that, I like Dom a lot, because I’ve gotton to know many of you, which just wouldn’t have happened without him. So I owe him a lot, giving me access to friendship and to be a role model who shares my views no matter how much they aren’t accepted by the wider society.




So to answer the question in short…I like Dominic Monaghan for being Dominic Monaghan.

wow, i never thought that when someone asked me what i like most about Dom, my mind would just go blank...and in the really long letter i wrote him, im sure, after reading it, HE could answer this question for me. lol.

hmmmm....well, he's INCREDIBLY funny, thats the main one. he's a very talented actor, but he's not full of himself. and i like his clothes :YES: #haha#

im sure ill be thinking of other things ALL DAY.

i agree hes VERY funny...and he has smashing looks, i love his taste in music, and his style, the way he talks with his hands, hes eyes, oh and like on the season finalie for lost, when he talks to claire he looks like hes only concentrated on her and whatever she says is the only thing he will do. i dont know why i love that, but i do. its like she is his whole world, and you can see it in his body language and in his eyes. i got into dom by watch lotr. i was into orlando, then he got like where everybody liked him and then i was like ehh i dont like you so much, then i found dom. wonderful dom.

oh and how close he is with his friends. like that one picture of billy/dom thats one of the banners where it looks like the are about to kiss. i love that! and hes like off-beat and just different than other guys his age. i could think of things all day

Plain and simple :

His sense of humor, and his love for the enviroment.

I can't think of a thing myself. It's something about his appearance that moves me. Like nobody else moves me. I don't know. On all those recent shows he's been on he just seems so enthousiastic and vibrant (I had to mute the sound so I don't know what he said) And that makes me happy. But when I see pics of him in which he looks sad, he makes me want to cry. (I think I'm going of track here, better stop)

He's just special in a very, very good way.

I admire Dom's great sense of self. The way he carries himself is just guh. I find confidence very attractive. He doesn't follow the Hollywood crowd and he does his own thing, not caring what others think (Eyeliner, anyone?). He holds on to his sense of individuality when everyone these days is being pushed to conform into one same, boring image.

I also admire the way he treats his fans. I've been to three events, and I've seen how kind he is to each and every one of his fans. He's moving up the ranks, but he doesn't take on that attitude of "Oh, shoo these pesky fans away, I have things to do" like many other male stars.

It's so hard to just pinpoint something I love about Dom because I have yet to find something I don't love. But one of the first things I loved about Dom was how he's committed to the environment (how he bought a forest, would like to appear on the Discovery Channel, etc.) He's just a great, great man.

i think i fall in love with dom's funny sied at first but now i love hes funny sied and now i love all of him so yeah he he ^_^ and maybe hes butt i geass but i just think about hes butt and i just oh well yeah you get the idea because when he is working on the raft of something he is working on something i don't know but anyway when he doing that i just sit there and look at hes butt oh crap!!!! what is wrong with me i most really like him!!!!!!!!! OH YEAH IT IS ALL GOOD!!!!!!! :wub:
