Sorry I haven’t been around much the last few days, life stuff and all, and as a result this is well and truly late. Which also means I missed out saying congrats to Tigerlily for being the third person to top a 1000 posts! Well done Miranda. :Cong:
Banners: The voting will be closing in a few hours I suggest you get the final votes in!

Buttons: The board buttons have changed a little when you put the mouse over them they ought to change a little. Problems with it please let us know. The buttons are just the normal Add reply things.

But when you put your mouse over them to click they should change to this:

LOST: The final episode are now being aired, spoilers are everywhere, I’d hate to live in the US and not want to know what’s going to happen, anyone who hasn’t stumbled across the secrets, good luck I say to you, living as a hermit must be tough
DOMster: This is where all the OLD topics are moved too, mostly ones like birthdays etc. If you can’t find what you looking forward please check there first.
LOST Dates: Don’t forget to add LOST dates to the board calendar your board mates are counting on you. The US dates are all I can add as I can’t find a good enough site for the other countries showing it.
SPOILERS Its great when we can share our views on other TV shows, no other show is as popular here as Lost so there isn’t room for a SPOILERS thread for TV/Movies.
Do post spoilers (and give details about it i.e. what country etc) but do so in a way that lets you skip over it if a reader wants to avoid them.
Post then when you get to the spoiler write spoiler in Caps and leave a space, when you have written it highlight the text and chose small font and change to a light colour like YELLOW, just so your eyes cant see it by just browsing.
Any reader can skip a post by pressing the Space Bar.
YOU can also change the text to WHITE and can only see if if you click the mouse and hold it over the area, you should do it like this; (have a go /Prod/ )

User Groups: I did think at the start it was fun to keep it hidden but by now most of you will be aware of that fact that people change colors as there post count increases…so for the current level of posts here is a list
Guest : Not much, cant see all of the board and get a face full of annoying ads. >W<
Validating: Temporary limbo before accounts can be checked out, able to send 5 PMs and again not all of the board can be seen.
0 – 5: You’re just a limited member with basic privileges
6 – 99 posts: you’re still a member with basic privileges, although you do get to alter your member title.
100- 299: You change to blue. Access to the special members area is given, more PM space, ability to remove the “Edit” text, and granted the rank of bronze
300- 499: You change to shiny silver, again more PM space, longer posts editing times, and granted the rank of silver. Also less flood control time.
500 - ????: A darker shade of yellow or as some like to call gold, coats your user name for all to see, less flood control, greater PM space, and access to the board when its offline and great respect from your shiny new gold rank.
???? - ???? : The ability to upload files into your posts, greater PM space, able to change your titles of topics, view and contribute to the offline board.
???? - ????: The final rank, all of the above with the ability to chose your own user color, plus several other things, but to write about that would be telling. :devil2:

Yey I'm over a thousand!! :clap: I'm so proud of myself. Or not, cuz it clearly means I don't have anything else to do but post here. #haha#
I've noticed the extra PM space. Haven't had any trouble with it for a while now. So that's brilliant.
Changing topic titles is great too. I've tried it. (cuz my graphic topic title was bugging the hell out of me)

About the Charlie skin: big heads don't work for me because you can never see them as a whole. When scrolling up and down all you get to see is an eye or an ear and that's a pitty. I personally think it's better to work with background colours. The banners are enough Dom for me. I really love those banners. And switching between different ones is just brilliant.

Glad you like the rewards Miranda. The offline board hasn’t been used much at all, if major changes are needed the board needs to go offline for a few hours, in which case only I and the mods can get here, but now Gold members can too! LOL
Flood control didn’t bother me too much, but then again it doesn’t effect me. But when on other message boards it was the most annoying thing in the world!! OK it makes sense to stop double accidental postings and to make people read the thread they are posting in first….but I still get the annoying aspects of it. SO it’s been shorten for all, and the more you post the more you are aware of how things work, so need less time any way. I hope that makes sense and I thank everyone who has informed me of the problems it causes. (Rolly)
The skin…they are so hard to set up! The colours need to go together and everything needs to position just right, but with the skin choice in place I thought it would be acceptable to have one that not everyone will like. If you don’t like it you can change :hee: , BUT I do agree that the banners work much better on a blank background like Jords, it looks a bit chaotic with Charlie there too. But the votes haven’t revealed that it’s hated by all, so its sticking round for now.
Don’t worry Cheese Sticks, if you just move around the board your get to know things and your post count will soon fly up.

Kelly has had to resign her role as Mod, for personal reasons, exclusive of the board. I don’t feel that a replacement is needed, until we get a larger volume of members posting, so please don’t ask me or any of the current Mods, as we’re most likely have to say no. :(

Objective Interpretation (Facts)
May 8th (Sunday) with 101 posts was the best day this week. The worst day was May 10th and 11th (Tuesday and Wednesday) with 61 posts. A difference of 40 posts with the average posts count per day reaching 73 (9 down from last week.)
As the week progressed the post count maintained an evenly constant close number; for most of the week the total post counts remained close together rarely moving more than 25 posts in fact 4 out of 7 days scored within one or two posts of each other. Establishing a much closer average number of posts per day then before, making the total’s weeks posts 509.
This is a 12% decrease on lasts week’s postings. But week 6 still remains lower in the overall chart but only by 8 posts.
Subjective Interpretation (My view only)
Once again another quite week, very few new people on the boards and fewer of the regulars posting, even the lure of a banner poll attracted only minimal attention, BUT seeing as some banners got at least 26 members to vote for it the response rate was much better than I’d ever have expected.
End of School means lots of exams, approach towards Summer means longer nights and able to do more, works also seem increasingly busy, perhaps with growing number of holidays… also at a fundamental level, less DOM STUFF/NEWS! I think it’s a universal effect all Dom sites seem to have fewer updates and less posting on message boards. I honestly think it’s a Summer thing.
In the end I’d rather the post count remain low if they are quality posts, and until it falls below 30 posts a day, I won’t be stressing too much. :hee:
