OMG..please, please, please let them have convention in Europe..PLEASE!! one in Belgium, Germany or Holland..PLEASE!! (bEg)
Kimberly_Monaghan - June 5, 2005 12:03 AM (GMT)
please let the convention come to dallas! we have a convention center!!! COME!!
onlyonekingDom - June 19, 2005 10:09 AM (GMT)
Wow...I must say...that convention was awesome! I liked that it was small (only about 200 people were there), so it felt more personal. Plus, I got to officially meet Mel (Melagomaniac)!!!
The convention center was really small (especially when you compare it to the San Diego one), but there was still a variety of merchandise (at least in my opinion)...the first thing I bought was a Charlie banner (which was a good thing since they sold out pretty quickly) and then I got some photos (since I didn't have anything for the cast to sign).
The Creation people said that they are trying to put a LOST convention together that would be held in Hawaii! That got many people excited, myself included. I think I better start saving now... :thinky:
The guests on Saturday included Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Mira Furlan, William Mapother, and Jorge Garcia. Inbetween guests, clips were shown of stuff that will be on the DVD (deleted scenes, making-ofs...). (Sorry Mel...not enough Boone action for ya!) Sadly, I can't remember much of what was said during the Q & A's. But I can say that William is much better looking in person than he is on the show. :red:
The guests on Sunday included John Terry, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Michael Giacchino, Bryan Burk, Damon Lindelof, Emilie De Ravin, and Nick Jameson. Mel and I decided to both go up and do the trivia competition (they took 24 people in all) and I must say we did rather well...especially Mel, who won a certificate good for LOST merchandise!!! Congrats Mel! When they started putting the stuff out for the auction (all the money went to charity), Mel went straight for the Ian autograph and I went straight for the huge Charlie banner. We were both really nervous... #haha# ...let's just say, we both walked away quite broke...but happy. (Rolly) I left for a little bit later on so I could do the photo op thing with Emilie. They had rushed us through with Jorge the day before, but the media folk were there on Sunday, so they wanted us to take our time with Emilie. A woman told me to shake Emilie's hand, chat a little, etc. When it was my turn, I shook her hand, she asked me my name...she looked a little uncomfortable by the situation, so I just came out and asked "Do you mind if I hug you? You're just too cute". Yeah, it sounds lame now that I think about it, but it sounded good at the time. :red: She looked surprised at first, then she laughed, gave me a big hug, we took the pic, she squeezed my arm and we said our goodbyes. It was a rather funny experience. Later, when I went up to get her autograph, she remembered me...I hope that's not a bad thing. :hee:
Oh yeah...one of the Creation Entertainment guys said that "Dominic sends his regards"...apparently he was busy that weekend, but they almost got him to go. Oh well. It was fun anyway.
I don't regret one bit spending all that money...I have never been so happy to be broke! Sorry I don't have any "real info" for you guys...they didn't tell us much...if I remember anything important, I'll be sure to post it here.
(If anyone wants, I'll post pics later, as soon as I get them uploaded to my computer.)
Fawkes - June 19, 2005 10:30 PM (GMT)
Me me me me! I'd love to see pictures and thank you so much for posting that up, it sounded awesome, OK I dont really know who you are talking about actors names and all, but its good all the same.
:thank1: :thank1:
