Hey, I am getting different results on Charlie's last name, when I'm trying to Google it. On a lot of fansites, Charlie's last name is said to be Pace, while I've got a videoclip (you can download it
here) that says his complete name is Charlie Potts.
Does anybody have an answer to it?

I think I heard them mention his last name in one of the eps and it's Pace.
Potts doesn't ring a bell, so I think it's Pace.

I saw that on a Driveshaft website once and I think I remember hearing it on Lost aswell, but I'm not really sure now after seeing that videoclip....

Yeah, my vote is with Pace too, but I was sure of it that the clip was an official ABC-clip, so I got really confused.
Hmm, maybe the writers changed Charlie's last name between the promotional phase and the taping of Lost :thinky: :hee:

I thought it was Pace too...could it be that the adverts were released BEFORE lost was shown on TV? I know that in some computer games the names of charators etc are changed at the last second. :thinky:

I saw this poster and it said Charlie Potts.(im pretty sure). But then I read it was Pace and i got all confused aswell. I dunno though, I like Pace better.

His name was originally POTTS. They made a commercial and even a few posters of that last name. But then later changed it to PACE, before the show started. Many speculate since Charlie is a druggie, POTTS would kind of be a weird name to name him.
They never really said, officially, why they changed his name.

I knew that a lot of literary characters change from names between the first manuscripts and publication texts. I had no idea it would apply to characters in tvdrama too... and then a change so quickly between the promotional stuff and the first episodes :hyper: I would go nuts if I had invented Charlie, changed his lastname into Pace while the promotional material still said Potts. But indeed, Potts does remind me of drugs :hee:
