Board SATS: More SATS up later in the week


Collapse button, TESTING ONLY:You have a week to get to grips with its function then you need to decide if you want to keep it or not. So far it appears to only work in Internet explore and not Fire Fox etc all you do is click the markers on the right hand side and the forum will collapse, useful if you never visit certain areas. To open the area back up you click the button again. Feedback is vita, it may create connection problems for members etc I must know about it. Thank you.

LOST: The final episode details are now being released }C/{ You would have read it before so I’m not going to go on and on, you have your own areas to talk about them as well as being able to talk about the episodes in the correct episode thread. Any Lost pics which might act as a plot spoiler should be created into a external link and titled as such. .


LOST Dates: Don’t forget to add LOST dates to the board calendar your board mates are counting on you. The US dates are all I can add as I can’t find a good enough site for the other countries showing it.


The LOST Section is now up and running.
In short it’s a place to discuss all episodes past present and future depending where in the world you live, although it’s possible that can be done in the different countries threads it’s not very collective and as such only offers members a limited number of people to discuses episodes with. Further no one really looks into other country Lost threads, for fears of spoilers or the discussion has already been done etc.

Basically every lost episode has its own forum, for the most part I should image the biggest thread/topic posted will be simple discussion etc. Perhaps someone might start a specific thread, maybe looking in dept at Jack and Kate’s relationship during that episode for example.

As a rule of thumb it’s needed that in each episodes area you mainly try to talk about that episode, OR past episodes which add to your points. Under no circumstances should anyone be bringing in new issues that have aired after the current episode being talked about. So imagine that when the UK gets lost, every week we get to watch a new episode then come to talk about it with others all the while not worried about spoiling it for others, because if you wish to avoid you don’t go into that thread. Then every week we can move on to the next thread etc. (fingers crossed!) by the time we get to see it others would have already added their comments so although they are old for the posters, the new posters watching new lost will have something to read.

This idea should eliminate the time gaps between country air times but above all allow everyone to communicate with each other about the best show ever <lol> (IMO)

SKINS

I’ve had some request for more skins, I’m sorry but I just don’t have the time to make them, if your willing to help any member who has a request post it in here, the snag is your need to have a basic understanding if JavaScript etc, as long as you know about the bars and backgrounds etc then you can still help.

SPOILERS Its great when we can share our views on other TV shows, no other show is as popular here as Lost so there isn’t room for a SPOILERS thread for TV/Movies.

Do post spoilers (and give details about it i.e. what country etc) but do so in a way that lets you skip over it if a reader wants to avoid them.

Post then when you get to the spoiler write spoiler in Caps and leave a space, when you have written it highlight the text and chose small font and change to a light colour like [color=yellow]YELLOW, just so your eyes cant see it by just browsing.

Any reader can skip a post by pressing the Space Bar.

YOU can also change the text to WHITE and can only see if if you click the mouse and hold it over the area, you should do it like this; (have a go /Prod/ )

Objective Interpretation (Facts)


April 28th (Thursday) with 42 posts was the worst day ever in D and F history. The best day was April 25th (Monday). A difference of 70 posts with the average posts count per day reaching 71(almost 50 down from last week.)

As the week progressed the post count maintained a evenly low number throughout the week, Monday was the best day with almost 3 times as many posts as the worst day, however for most of the week the total post counts remained close together rarely moving more than 20 posts apart, making the total’s weeks posts 501.


This is a 40% DEcrease on lasts week’s postings. And a massive 45% lag from D and F’s best week of posting (week one of the SATS)

Subjective Interpretation (My view only)

A pretty disappointing week to be fair the worst week in the entire Statistical chart so far, to be fair it was hotter out and I’ve suspected that the summer months will mean less D and F activity which I think I would be fair to say it applies to all internet goings-on.

It’s great to see that everyone sparks off each other to post, if there are less people posting members seem to feel that they shouldn’t post either, perhaps for simple talking to others, or maybe the sense of talking to one’s self (No one likes to think they are going nuts :hee: !)

So I’m going to be hugely judgmental and say that it’s down to the weather and lack of Dom news/pictures. Once again I’d love to hear anyone else’s ideas as to why we had a low week. (Rolly)

you're probably right about your weather theory. It won't be long before the summer holidays start. Damn, I'll be all alone here, since I'm a working girl and I have to work for most of the summer. Well, I'll just talk to myself then.
I have a feeling this week is gonna be worse than last week. I haven't seen that many people around here. Thinking about it. I have a pretty busy weekend coming op as well, so I probably won't post that much.
Woohooow, tomorrow's liberation day and also the Christian holiday of which I do not know the name. Something about Jesus and heaven. Gosh, I don't even know what it's all about...................see, talking to myself already.

Actually it’s not been too bad this week, I won’t give much away but its defo busier than last week at this time. We have had a lot more Dom pics and media stuff...and the Dom area has had double the views and posts than any other forum! Games and Random Madness come next and although they are close together they are way behind Dom Multimedia. (As it should be on a Dom board :Light: )

Talking to yourself is boring (you could always play a game in the Arcade!), but you could be right Summer might have less posters, on the other hand it might have more, after a few months of Hot weather all you want to do is stay indoors and keep cool. #haha#

okay Rich. Here's the deal: is it supposed to be 'Board SATS' or 'Board STATS'... because I am unsure.... I always thought it would be 'stats' because the numbers and things are stats... but if 'sats' has a meaning unto its own.. then could you tell me??

Typical cultural difference #haha# , in the UK it is SATS (I think, and its only a think its to do with the SATS tests, which are all standardised in a way that can be applied throughout the country in terms of levels) I think STATS is just short for Statistical analysis, of course you could just argue that this is what the Board data is, but at uni and every where else I use SATS. If you have a really big problem I’ll use a different name. (Rolly)

I must admit it confused me, cos I, too, expected it to be stats, as in statistics, but I don't care, I know what it is, so whatever you want to call it is fairly irrellevant to me.

Well it if's really a bother I can change it for next week, I can so relate to some words that just bug the hell out of me. #haha#

I always wondered why you called them SATS too, but thought it was just some internet term I hadn't heard of (I only found out what a blog was the other day! :red: ). I've heard of the SATS tests, but didn't realise that statistics could be abbreviated to SATS, but what do I know! <lol> But as the others have said, everyone knows what they are (even me! #haha# ), so why change it!
