Title: THE REQUEST'S / MUSIC INFO

Knuxs - March 22, 2005 03:55 PM (GMT)
Finally the music area has been approved! Woo woo, this is a very exciting day. (woW>

A forum called Music is simple enough; we talk about music and share our cultural differences. But how about if you could really share the difference? }C/{

Armed with a massive number of songs it’s possible that I can find that long lost song you need or want to hear again, although I would gladly give it to any one through MSN, BUT how about if you can download it direct from here?

That’s right, (within reason) I could find the songs you want, then you download them direct from the board.

There are a few very important rules.

ONE: this thing costs me money, I’m not going to be evil and ask for payment, but I do ask that you download the song only once (you’re be given the choice to “open” or “save” please save it. That way it’s in your collection until you delete it.

TWO: Please give me time to track down the song and you must give me as much detail as possible, i.e. the title and artist.

THREE: The songs in the download area will change every so often, I simply don’t have the space to store huge numbers of songs.

FOUR: Keep the requests simple and in a place I can see them, start a new topic if you have too.

FIVE: Above all this is in a experimental stage.

It works 100% for me on Itunes. I’m not sure about Windows Media Player…feedback therefore is vita.

Hacky - March 22, 2005 04:07 PM (GMT)
(woW> That sounds good. I suppose its something like Ripway?

Ooh I have one (bEg) That song on the game Squares! The Daft Punk one I think you said it was called. I love that.

Knuxs - March 22, 2005 04:12 PM (GMT)
Yup thats right.

And I have that song <lol>

Its quite a big file so expect it to take about 5 mins, maybe more on dial up.

FIRST TRY AND RIGHT CLICK THEN SAVE AS.

IF THAT DOESNT WORK CLICK LIKE NORMAL AND "SAVE AS"

DaftPunk-Revolution909 (Had to make space for new songs so its no longer there. If you want to hear it request it again)

Tigerlily - March 22, 2005 04:21 PM (GMT)
Don't you just LOVE it how Rich keeps improving this board. You seriously ROCK dude. (woW>

Now let's find an appropriate smilie to go with that
<@G>

Weeee, that's not the one. I just really wanted to use that one.

This is it:
(lolo)

Knuxs - March 22, 2005 04:28 PM (GMT)
Aww thank you. It was a close call to setting up a website to go with the board, BUT its just too time consuming and costly, in that sense I can understand how all the website owners here must feel. On top of that, why bother to set up a almost duplicate website when there are plenty about already? #haha#

I do think this will be one of the last major changes made to the board (unless anyone has any more ideas) and if it goes belly up then this music area will be deleted. (Hmmmm)

So get requesting! (woW>

Hacky - March 22, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)
Thank you! (thank1)

Meriagrin Brandytook - March 22, 2005 08:35 PM (GMT)
I, too, have an extensive range of music, and if I don't have something, I can usually get it within a few days. I use Ripway, so again, I can put links on here.

Anyone want anything, just ask. (I'm currently working on completing my Blind Guardian collection)

Hacky - March 22, 2005 08:56 PM (GMT)
Blind Guardian collection? Whats that?

Yeah more helpers.

I really like that song that was in the "what are you listening to thread" Its like; "So much love" its really dancey thats a cool song reminds me of Dom. That boy has so much love going his way, he must have so much to give out or else he will explode. :(

Tigerlily - March 22, 2005 09:19 PM (GMT)
I got two. Both of them a bit corny. I like em for the memories

Bonnie Riatt's: I can't make you love me. I've always loved that song even though it makes me kinda sad

And I think this one is by a band?? named PHD??. "I won't let you down". I remember that one from my childhood. I loved it back then even though I was only 2 or 3 years old. Which is weird, cuz I didn't even know what the lyrics meant back then.

Whahahaaa: no try and get me those. (Winker)

Knuxs - March 23, 2005 12:30 AM (GMT)
#haha# OK I will try and get them for moro. So tired now and spent ages getting hold of these (requests via PM) You can ask for them here. (tudy<

Right Click (bEg) Please etc. Once the bandwidth for the day is gone thats it, no more for anyone until later.

Tigerlily - March 23, 2005 05:52 PM (GMT)
THAT'S IT, THAT'S IT!!!!!!!!!!!
You don't know how long I've been wanting to have that song.
(thank1) ><

The Charmed theme song is really good btw. I have it on CD.

Fawkes - March 25, 2005 07:14 PM (GMT)

Do you have,

Erase and Rewind - by the Cardigans (bEg)

Tigerlily - March 25, 2005 09:56 PM (GMT)
Since we're doing theme songs.
Can you get the Buffy theme song. Just for old times sake. So I have someting to remember the show by.

Knuxs - March 27, 2005 11:44 AM (GMT)
Jezzz I never knew there were so many Buffy fans, I check my inbox and there are 5! 5 Requests for Buffy songs. It took me some time to get hold of them, lucky I have a massive Buffy fan on MSN and he was able to tell me all the songs and artists. I watch the show but wouldn’t be able to tell you the bands and most I've never heard of so I'll try and pin point where they were heard.

Number one

Buffy Theme Song - Nerf Herder ( ><() at the start of every episode)

Theme Song - Nerf Herder NO LONGER

Number Two

She - Louie Says (I think this was in the Reptile episode in season two, when Angel asks Buffy if she would like to get some coffee sometime, I really like this and so its a joy to get hold of it at long last)

She - Louie Says NO LONGER

Number Three

I cant take my eyes off you - Melanie Doane (This is the song from "Family" Season 5 I think? Its Tara's birthday, she and Willow dance to this song at the end of the episode while they do a spell and float above the ground)

I cant take..... - Melanie Doane NO LONGER

The next two were tricky to track down to say the least, both are from the episode where everyone sings. If your not a fan of Buffy you might wish to avoid this, it singing from the cast members who are singing to some mad lyrics, like bunnies being evil. ><()

Number Four

Under Your Spell - Tara and Willow (Both girls make excuses to get home (Winker) on the way they go through a park and starting singing, I should point out this is a really nice song even the lyrics aren’t that bad)

Under Your Spell - Tara&Willow NOPE ITS GONE

Number Five

Standing - Giles (this song occurs when Giles and Buffy are training, its good especially as Anthony Stuart Head is something of a singer to start with >HO< I would say to listen to this and the lyrics aren’t bad either)

Standing - Giles NO LONGER

There are many more Buffy songs, I know, if you want some you need to be specific.

Enjoy, in order to make space some of the songs listed above have been deleted, please get the song as soon as you can when you have it downloaded its yours until you go into the folder and delete it. I’ve also been informed the song will play on Windows media player as well as Itunes.

Knuxs - March 27, 2005 12:20 PM (GMT)
This is one of my fave songs of all time, I really like it. Tell me what you think if you could be so kind (BouN) (bEg)

Over - Lindsay Lohan (ask me again if you want it)

The Cardigan request, its a good song very relaxing and perfect for a nice time on the computer.

Erase and Rewind NO LONGER

Hestia - March 29, 2005 11:59 AM (GMT)
For who's interested: I have the complete Buffy Musical Episode-tracklisting! I don't use ripway, but I can send the songs to Rich so he can put them here. If you want it, just ask it!

Tigerlily - March 31, 2005 05:06 PM (GMT)
The Buffy song was a no go. I guess I can only download PM3 documents.

I got the Smashmouth song. WOW it's brilliant. It always makes me happy.

And since we're talking spiderman.
Can you get me the spiderman2 theme song? I don't know the name. But is was sung by a woman. (yeah, like that's any help)

Owww, that mean girls song is good too.

Knuxs - April 4, 2005 06:48 PM (GMT)

QUOTE (Hacky @ Mar 22 2005, 09:56 PM)
Blind Guardian collection? Whats that?

My collection of Blind Guardian albums, Blind Guardian are a German Metal Band (me listening to metal? who'd of thunk it..) anyway, they have quite a bit of Middle Earth inspired stuff, which is what attracted me to them in the first place. I'm also working on getting hold of a few bootlegs as well....

Here's a link to the first thing I heard by them, probably one of the mellowest of their songs - Lord Of The Rings - Blind Guardian

Knuxs - April 5, 2005 10:32 AM (GMT)
In The US her album isnt out until the 19th, it was released in the UK and France yesterday. Its out in Germany May 9th (I think) And Finally its out in OZ on the 11th of this month. (woW>

This song is just wow, and a sample for what else she has in store on the album, click, listen, love it. its (wOw)

>>>>> Natalie Imbruglia - Sanctuary <<<<<

Meriagrin Brandytook - April 5, 2005 10:54 AM (GMT)
I didn't know Natalie Imbruglia was still recording... COOL!!! I'll have that!!

Tigerlily - April 5, 2005 05:24 PM (GMT)
OMG, OMG, OMG, the raccoons. I loved that cartoon. And the theme song is brilliant. I still know the lyrics. That's just sooooo cool.

That wasn't the spiderman song I meant, but this Micheal Buble dude is pretty relaxed. So I like it.
The song I'm talking about is sang by a woman. And she sings something like: they say we're not responsible but we are, we are.
You know what. Maybe that's a song from an entirely different movie. I'm not sure anymore.

And I have yet another request
It's Deee-lite, groove is in the heart. That song makes me happy.

maddy - April 6, 2005 06:05 AM (GMT)
thanx for all the songs Rich!! (--)

Knuxs - April 7, 2005 09:42 PM (GMT)
Its been fun and no problem at all. If you have a song you want tell me.

Bit late but here we go:

Deelite - Groove Is In The Heart

Kane -Damn Those Eyes (a request from the Bands thread try and see what you think)

Anouk -Lost (Same story as the one above I hope this one is Ok?) <C>>

Tigerlily - April 8, 2005 11:53 AM (GMT)
The Dee-lite song is just brilliant. Makes me wanna wear bright clothes and platform shoes.

The Anouk one is good. It's her latest hit. And the title is lost so that's very appropriate #haha#

Well I have a real challenge. I would be very surprised if you can pull this one of.
A very long time ago I used to watch a show called "the little vampire" It's not a cartoon but a series. You probably now the books and I think they even made a movie out of it. It's about this boy who becomes friends with a vampire boy who lives on a cemetery with his family (and his little sister is really funny. She still has her baby teeth so she can only drink milk and she has a crush on the living boy. She always wants to bite him)
And of course a vampire hunter is always after them.

The tune is just brilliant and it's performed by david bowie. I don't know the exact lyrics. I taped it when I was little. placed the tape recorder really closely to the TV and listened to it every day. Unfortunately the tape is gone. Bummer.
Wow, I had great taste in music even back then. #haha#

Meriagrin Brandytook - April 8, 2005 04:45 PM (GMT)
I've had a look, and all I can find for that tv series is the song -

"They can see in the dark"
Sung by Jim Gray / Dark Room

I'll download it if I can and post a link, I can't find any link between Bowie and The Little Vampire (tv or movie)

Hmm, maybe that's it. Maybe that's just a guy who sounds like David Bowie. I mean, I was like 10 years old when I heard it.
Give it to me baby, so I can see if it's the one.

Meriagrin Brandytook - April 8, 2005 05:10 PM (GMT)
sorry, so far winMX has let me down, I can't find it, can you remember any of the lyrics at all?

Tigerlily - April 8, 2005 05:58 PM (GMT)
Oh damn, I nearly found the song but the link didn't work.
these are the lyrics.

After our blood, freezes the flood
All through the night and gifted with sight -
to see in the dark
They can see in the dark
You know they can fly, can fly oh so high
Live under the earth and gifted from birth
They can see in the dark
They can see in the dark
Vampires, vampires
They can see in the dark
They can see in the dark
All through the night and gifted with sight
Vampires

After our blood, freezes the flood
With dangers at hand cry out through the land
They can see in the dark (background: vampires can)
They can see in the dark (background: vampires can)
Vampires, vampires
They can see in the dark
They can see in the dark
With dangers at hand cry out through the land
Vampires, vampires

You know they can fly
Can fly oh so high
If you see one tonight
Don't put up a fight
Make peace while you can
Make a friend if you dare
A friend who can fly
Can fly oh so high
And see in the dark
And live under the earth
Make a friend if you can
Of vampires

Vampires, vampires, vampires...
Vampires can
They can see in the dark

Well, I did a little digging myself and I found it.

For anybody who cares to listen to it. I'ts here the little vampire theme song
Check the downloads section. It's the first song (that's not the original by the way)

Meriagrin Brandytook - April 8, 2005 07:12 PM (GMT)
Cool, and it does sound like David Bowie, but I still can't find anything about it on the search engines that I use.

Tigerlily - April 9, 2005 01:33 PM (GMT)
I think I'm addicted to tv theme songs. I found this awsom website that has like a gazillion theme songs.
I now have Airwolf, startrek deepspace nine and angel. And also Dark Angel cuz that was just a totally hot show. Or at least I think Jessica Alba is like totally hot. This is frickin brilliant.
If you're into it. Check it out here my themes tv

Knuxs - April 13, 2005 06:21 PM (GMT)
This is one that had me stuck too :( Its no where around!!!!!!!!!!

On a postive note these requests have now been solved see below ><()

Bare Naked Ladies - One WeekThe song from American Pie, its great everyone should have this song!

The Coral - In the Morning The Coral do a modern twist to songs from the 60's 70's and 80's you could say its the best of both worlds. ><()

Ace Of Base - Life is a Flower Great and very 90's! (and thats where its staying unless you ask for it again)

This next song is a little well strange ><() …. OK it’s not the traditional type of song that has lyrics hell its not even the song that you can dance too. Nonetheless in the UK a few years ago this song was the best selling song and was number one for weeks! :o

In few words… This song is full of Life Advice. Feedback on it! (by the end its full of Music, go on you know you want too, no joke this is a great booster song)

QUOTE
Don’t mess too much with your hair or by the time your 40 it look 85. Total classic.
<DiE<

Baz Luhrman - Sunscreen Song (Its gone for now, want it back ask again!)

Tigerlily - April 13, 2005 09:00 PM (GMT)
The sunscreen song!!!! I never knew what the name of that song was, but I knew exactly which one you were talking about. It's such a brilliant song, I've loved it since the first time I heard it. And it really has good advice.

Maybe you'll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary

Floss #haha#

Knuxs - April 18, 2005 06:21 PM (GMT)
Its a classic isnt it #haha#

Take Me Away - Pinkslip
(The song you'd expect to hear beating out of a teenagers garage, except this time the teenagers are playing this song! Its angry but oh so great!!!!)

Return To Innocence-Enigma/Enya
