Actually, Kristin, I have finals on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I have Friday off, and Monday is a "semester break." So it works out perfectly!

Though, I did get the 'rents to agree to pick me up early and skip my last class when Dom was on Craig Ferguson. That didn't work out, and I had to go to English that day, sigh.

By the way, the schedule is up!

DAY 1


A good start to an awesome weekend. Saw Mel in the morning and couldn't figure out what I wanted to buy most. If I could, I would have brought home loads of stuff. Ah well.

Daniel Reeve (official LotR calligrapher & cartographer) was there today. I enjoyed his slide show presentation. It made me realize how much work he had to do by hand...like the pages in the Red Book, multiple scrolls....even the lettering for the DVDs, games, etc. Plus, he had to change the style of calligraphy depending on who was supposed to have written it, where it came from...you know. I was so amazed by his work that right after he was finished talking, I got in line to buy a copy of Bilbo's party invitation (which he personalized).

Towards the end of the day, we got to see the blooper reel. I found it quite hilarious.


Ummm...yeah. There was some stuff inbetween, but it probably won't interest you. And since I'm using my 35mm, I can't post pictures until I get them developed. ;)

I see that Kristin has started a day-by-day sort of thing. As I didn't have access to a computer, I get to spend a while making a huge post. Yay for me!

*coughs* Hi guys, I'm back.

I got home at 11 last night and got up just now, so bear with me. I will tease, however, as that is what I do:

-Kristin and I hung out, squeed, ate hot dogs, drooled over how hot Daniel Reeve is, etc.

-Elijah has sideburns, and they are hot.

-Sean and Lij still have amazing chemistry.

-Billy is still hilarious and adorable.

-The bloopers were priceless! Two words: Elrond, Mr. Anderson.

-The con was smaller this year, but I ended up preferring it. There were less venders, but that's a good thing, since I am now broke. The lines were shorter and it felt more intimate than last year, so wheee.

-I am now going to write in Tengwar all over the place. :nany:
